Wild Calling! Dog Food Review: Our Wild Life! #TheArtofNutrition

This post is sponsored by Wild Calling! and the BlogPaws Professional Pet Blogger Network. I am being compensated for helping spread the word about the Wild Calling! Pet Food, but To Dog With Love only shares information we feel is relevant to our readers. Wild Calling! is not responsible for the content of this article.

If there were Havanese in the wild, I think Rocco would be plenty comfortable being one of them. Rocco loves a great adventure, whether he's hiking in the woods, competing in agility or playing with his pals in his own backyard.

That's why it's important to me to make sure Rocco has a quality diet, with plenty of high quality protein to help keep him strong and healthy. We recently learned about Wild Calling!®, a new brand of dog (and cat) food created by the Petersen family in Greeley, Colorado.  Rocco's had the chance to try out this food in the Beef dry food recipe as well as the Chicken Coop canned recipe.

Keep on reading to find out what Rocco thinks about this new food, but first, a few things I really like!
  • The quality: The folks at Wild Calling! believe in using the highest quality ingredients -- including hormone and antibiotic-free meat, poultry and fish, and their food is all natural and made in the USA.
  • Meat and protein rich: Wild Calling! recipes are grain free and the protein is derived from quality animal protein. Rich meats help create an optimal amino acid profile to support healthy muscle growth and increased energy. In the Beef Recipe we tried, Beef is the No. 1 ingredient followed by sweet potato, lentils and tapioca. The Wild Calling canned dog food is 96 percent meat, poulty or fish.
  • GlycoEdge for consistent energy: We think this is really cool feature of Wild Calling!  GlycoEdge is designed to provide your dog with consistent energy and a low glycemic diet. The innovative technology combines specific levels of tapioca (quick release), sweet potatoes (moderate release) and Lentils (slow release) to help limit glucose and insulin spike and prevent soft stools.
  • Rotational diet: I also love that Wild Calling! is designed to be rotational. That means that you can rotate through all their protein varieties -- like elk, trout, duck, turkey, whitefish and beef  -- so that your dog gets all the nutrients they need... and never gets bored!
So now that I've given Wild Calling! the thumbs up, let's see what Rocco has to say!

First, he enlisted the help of his pal Nicky to work up a good appetite!

After a good backyard romp, Rocco invited Nicky to join him in the Wild Calling! photo shoot.

Nicky had his own ideas of what makes for a great photo!

Rocco says, enough already! Can we try this out. NOW!

I had Rocco and Nicky eating out of the palm of my hand! All it took was a little Wild Calling! to get their undivided attention!

That's my wild Havanese! They both gobbled up the food like it was tastiest treat! In fact, I like using high quality kibble like this for training treats, and when we go for walks I put a handful in my pocket for training opportunities.  (Just make sure you empty your pockets before you do wash!)

So what does Rocco think? He gives Wild Calling! a hearty four paws up... if he ever comes up for air!
Wild Calling! took its cue from the wild west, and set out to create a line of pet food that's real, honest and true.  The folks behind this family-owned and run company ask you to dare to be wild! ... just like they did in creating this new line of food. They took the best of dietary science and natural food found in the wild to create Wild Calling!, complete with fruits and vegetables, Omega 3 and 6 fatty acids, vitamins C and E and rich in meat.

  8. It's quite ironic that in some cases, unnecessary filler ingredients have become toxic and have led to huge recalls and ultimately massive costs to those companies. pug

  9. Solid Dog Food has just a single objective, the prologue to the dog owner of how to make sound, nutritious, lovely tasting food for their dog. There are various medical issues that are attached straightforwardly to the food a dog is eating.

  10. Truly, this article is really one of the very best in the history of articles. I am a antique ’Article’ collector and I sometimes read some new articles if I find them interesting. And I found this one pretty fascinating and it should go into my collection. Very good work! diamond naturals dog food reviews
