We can dream, right? How cool would that be!

ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
I have 2 dogs and 4 cats who are all my champions because they are all rescues. They all have very unique personalities that make my family whole. They are all well mannered and very loving. I am proud to be called their mama.
ReplyDeleteAll 4 of my purebred rescue dogs are champion examples of why we need rescue groups and shelters and loving families to adopt older or challenged dogs who still have a lot of love to give.
ReplyDeleteSchooner and Skipper are champions because they are the most gentle loving dogs to our triplet grandchildren. From the time they were born until now at the age of 5. The triplets love to use them as a pillow. Schooner gives up his dog bed so they can watch movies in his bed....that is why they are champion to put up with 3 very active grandchildren.
ReplyDeleteMy dogs Dakota and Oshunta are always here for me. They comfort me and they keep me company. I'm never alone. They are my best friends.
ReplyDeleteAll five of my Treeing Walker Coonhounds are champions - not because they necessarily did anything special, but because they ARE special. All five are rescue dogs. Suki came from a local rescue after being adopted (and returned) by two families that just weren't a good match for her. Ran is my deaf hound girl and also the smallest of our pack. Ran was adopted and dumped at a shelter just four days after the vet confirmed that she was deaf. She's amazing. Kenji was one of 30+ hounds tied along the property line of an idiot who was involved in cock fighting (all the dogs from that case were rescued, although the shelter itself has a 40% kill rate). Kyoko was dumped at a kill shelter weighing just 30 pounds and full of buckshot. A rescue was supposed to pull her, but bailed at the last minute. I had Kyoko pulled for me and because she was so emaciated, the vet wasn't supposed to spay her (we were going to schedule that as soon as she reached a healthy weight). The vet, however, went ahead and spayed her and she bloated that night and nearly died. Kyoko is now chubby and loving and playful and the sweetest girl. My Seiji is the newest member of our pack and was pulled the morning he was scheduled to be killed at the high kill shelter he ended up in. He was so scared at the shelter, and he photos of him there show his head down and his tail between his legs. He now plays and loves getting loved on. All five, however, have given me far more than I could ever give to them. You can imagine, too, that we go through a LOT of dog food (so I really hope I win this one).
ReplyDeleteMy dog is my champion because she takes care of me and makes sure that I am ok. She barks at unfamiliar sounds and people which is good because I am going through a messy separation. She makes sure I get out of bed everyday and get my exercise by walking her.
