It's Wild Calling!
Rocco and his pals love to explore, and that includes chasing things, smelling things... sometimes eating things and just all around loving life to it's fullest!
That's why all our pups need good food and good nutrition -- to stay strong, healthy and full of energy!
We're a big fan of diets rich in high quality proteins, and we like to rotate those proteins too. That's why we were super excited to learn about Wild Calling!®, a new brand of dog (and cat) food created by the Petersen family in Greeley, Colorado.
Taking their cue from the wild west, the Petersens set out to create a line of pet food that's real, honest and true. They took their time in creating the foods, using proteins you don't see in dog food everyday... proteins like Elk, Whitefish, Turkey, Trout, Duck and Beef.
They make their foods in the USA, with attention to quality, and they believe in using the highest quality ingredients -- including hormone and antibiotic-free meat, poultry and fish. They say that the rich meats they use help create an optimal amino acid profile to support healthy muscle growth and increased energy. And if you have an active pup like I do, that's super important!
One thing we found particularly intriguing about Wild Calling! is GlycoEdge. Incorporated into the food, GlycoEdge is designed to provide your dog with consistent energy and a low glycemic diet. The innovative technology combines specific levels of tapioca (quick release), sweet potatoes (moderate release) and Lentils (slow release) to help limit glucose and insulin spike and prevent soft stools.
We think GlycoEdge sounds really nifty and can't wait to see how it might impact Rocco's performance during the long days of our agility trials.
Wild Calling's packaging is really cool, too! And while we agree that the packages are a real work of art, it's the convergence of dietary science and natural food found in the wild that make Wild Calling unique. The Petersen family explains it this way:
A 100 percent grain-free, meat-rich diet, Omega 3 & 6 fatty acids. Superfood fruits and vegetables, Vitamins C & E. Prebiotics and Probiotics. At Wild Calling we combine the 'science' with the beauty of nature and a genuine love for our pets. That's an artistic idea. We call it 'The Art of Nutrition'.
Rocco calls it the art of good eating, something he's always ready for whether he's in the wild or in his kitchen!
Wild Calling makes both kibble and canned food, as well as a limited ingredient diet, all packed with high-quality proteins, all natural, grain and gluten free and made in the USA by the family-owned company. To find out more about Wild Calling, check out this brochure.
