Review and Giveaway: New Orijen Freeze Dried Dog Treats from Chewy.com

Rocco and I recently discovered Orijen's new freeze dried dog treats, so when Chewy.com offered us some to review and giveaway, we jumped at the chance! Read all the way down to learn how you can win some of your very own!

Orijen dog food has been in our feeding rotation for years. We found the 6 fish formula to be perfect for a pup with allergies and Rocco enjoys the regional poultry, fish and whole eggs formula too.
The Chewy.com pup knows how
to enjoy a treat!
Now, Orijen had a selection of freeze dried treats made with 100 percent fresh regional meat, poultry or fish, prepared in their own freeze-dry kitchens without cooking or preservatives. We think that's pretty cool.

Recently, we picked up a pack of the Tundra -- made with venison, elk, quail and steelhead trout --  and Rocco loved them. Who wouldn't!  So when Chewy.com offered up another flavor we chose the Free Range Bison, made with the triple-crown of bison delights -- bison liver, boneless bison and bison tripe.
Rocco says these treats are lip-smacking delicious!
Did Rocco love the Free Range Bison as much as the Tundra? See for yourself!

Each treat is a bit on the large size, but the Bison treats have only seven calories each and are super easy to pinch off into much smaller pieces, making them a great option for training.

The Bison treats pass the sniff test
The entire line of Orijen freeze dried treats are available at Chewy.com for the current sale price of $6.49 for a two ounce bag... that's a full $2 less than we paid for them at our local store. Stock up on them and other goodies and you can take advantage of free 1-2 day shipping on orders over $49!

  1. Tasty! I'll do agility hurdles, high fives, spins, retrievals, recalls, speak, sit, down, stay, give a kiss, give a hug, play dead....

  4. Shiloh would do anything for a treat. In addition to agility, Shiloh knows... Sit, down, stand, stay, wait, leave it, drop it, go around (an object), Shake (both paws), High 5, Wave, Dance, Spin, Roll over, play dead, Take a bow, Park it (go to his bed and lay down), Close (come to my side and sit), recall, down on recall, retrieve, touch, put his toys away, and he can bowl (I set up toy bowling pins at one end of the room, and he pushes a ball across the room to knock them down).... I know he knows more, though it's hard to remember everything to list. Shiloh loves learning new things, and will do just about anything for a treat!

  20. For a tasty treat we will do whatever Mommy ask. Mainly sit in a line and wait patiently for our turn. Scylla is not good at waiting her turn and neither is Mr. Who but the rest of us are all very good at waiting our turn. ~Fenris & Tuiren

  21. Maya and Pierson will do just about anything for a treat. As soon as I grab a bag of treats, they automatically start the 'spin' command. It's so funny watching them turn in circles when I haven't even given them the command to do so yet.

  23. Most of my dogs do an automatic sit when I present a treat. The others just look so happy, how could I not oblige? ;)

  24. My St. Bernard sits nicely. His best "trick" is to beg for the treat by whining.

  25. My pups would do just about anything for a tasty treat. They are pretty good and will 'line up' in a row waiting for their treat; this also usually involves someone getting their treat, eating it quickly and running around and getting back at the end of the line and acting like they didn't get a treat yet. 26. My pups think they are too spoiled to have to do tricks to receive a treat. They will stand patiently waiting their turn to get theirs but a few start stamping their feet if treats don't come their way quick enough, I have eight including three rescues.....two of the rescues are the only ones who do tricks....the chihuahua dances like a circus poodle to get a treat and my rescue pit bull has taken to balancing on his hind legs in a crouch that makes him look like a kangaroo. It's clearly hard for him to balance like that but he started doing it on his own for treats that he really loves, which I think these would be a treat he would love! Thanks for the chance to win. My dogs would definitely love to try these great yummy treats!
