Rocco looks like he's enjoying a well-deserved break. How does your meetup work? We have a group here that sometimes goes on off-leash hikes but I'm uncertain about letting Mr. N loose with much bigger strange dogs.
There are a good number of doggie meetup groups in my area. The hiking groups, like his one, typically go on hikes/walks where dogs are required to be on leash... which I think is a great idea for safety, etc.
We're also member of a few small dog meetups and those will sometimes do off-leash play days at doggie daycare places. I'd really rather do something like a hike and Rocco has plenty of fun even on leash. I'll also run with him some so we both get plenty of exercise!
