| At this past weekend's AKC trial, Rocco added four more Q's (qualifying runs) to the two he earned at the USDAA trial the weekend before. |
We've worked hard at doing all the right things to prepare for his first trials, from great foundation training to cross training (for me too, so I can keep up with the little guy!). And the results far exceeded my expectations.
I know it's all about having fun with your pup, but it sure is nice to get a few wins and qualifying runs under our belts too!
If you're getting started in agility, here's how we approached getting started this time.
We still have lots to learn, and going to our first trial helped us see what we still need to work on.
But most of all, we really are having loads of fun with agility and as you can see from these photos, Rocco is one happy little agility pup!

That is great! It is all about having fun and us dogs bonding with our humans, but we want to get some wins as long as we are at it too. We are doing nose work, though, but same idea. Congratulations!
