I travel a lot with Rocco and so I'm always on the hunt for the perfect pet carrier. So when news of the new Hatch carrier landed in my email box, my interest was officially peaked!
This carrier is different than others in that it features a patented Direct Reach hatch, which allows you to safely reach inside the carrier to comfort your small dog or cat without risk of escape. Rocco is an extreme escape artist -- open the carrier zipper a millimeter and he's out as quick as you can say genie in a bottle! A good scritch around the ears also helps him relax, so we think the hatch feature is amazing!

Inventor and co-founder, Jon Mirsky, a Georgetown Law-trained animal advocate,
was inspired by the experiences of his beloved golden tabby cat, Junior, a once
able traveler who began to struggle on trips as he aged. Like many other pet
parents, Jon would open the zippers on his carrier to comfort his friend, but
that often resulted in the still mighty 15-pound tabby forcing his way out of
the bag.

With the help of designer Jed Crystal, veteran of Mophie, Samsonite, Case Logic and his own pet product line, Hepper, Hatch has created a carrier that combines safety and comfort with a sleek look and ease-of-use.
